How Working with Deni_C Leveled Up My Leather Fashion Journey

At the beginning of this year, when I decided to work with Deni_C as my coach, I still had

some doubts. I had only just completed my own coaching training a few weeks earlier and

was now a certified business coach. So why would I need a coach myself?

For me, it was mainly about leather fashion. How could I develop an inner attitude that freed me from the opinions of others about my appearance? And who better to explore this with than Deni_C, whose presence on the POL-Website and her book “Power Of Leather” had already encouraged me to embrace my passion? But what could I expect from the coaching sessions with her? In her book, she defines four levels of people’s attitudes toward wearing leather. My goal was to move from a low Level 2 up to Level 1.

Would three sessions be enough? What kind of impulses would Deni_C give me? Would it just be the simple advice: “Just do it. Don’t care what others think or say!”? Or would she first listen to my concerns, then encourage me with constructive input—while always making it clear that I alone am responsible for my development, and that the key to success is already in my own hands?

One thing was crucial for me: if we were going to talk about leather fashion in the sessions, then I wanted to wear it during the coaching, too.

If I wasn’t willing to do so in front of the very person who, for me, embodies leather passion in the most convincing way, how could I possibly manage in front of people who don’t share this passion? All sessions turned out to be a real source of encouragement. Why? Because Deni_C listened attentively

She didn’t give advice but invited me to question my limiting beliefs and replace them with empowering perspectives. I realized then that this is about much more than clothing.

It’s about self-awareness, self-reflection, self-efficacy, self-confidence, self-trust—and above all, self-responsibility. And all of this can be strengthened, sharpened, and deepened through one magical force: the power of dialogue at eye level—between coach and coachee, carried out with genuine interest, seriousness, and commitment. Always open and supportive. Yet Deni_C was also clear, with a critical view, but never judgmental. The process was motivating, meaningful, and enjoyable, even though it was also challenging.

Good coaching, however, is not only about good conversation. Body and mind interact. That

is why, especially when it comes to moving confidently in one’s favorite clothes, it is so

important to experience this in the coaching session itself, and to share openly with the coach the feelings that come up. In exactly these moments, Deni_C repeatedly proved how

trustworthy she is.

Today, I feel relaxed and joyful whenever I choose to wear my leather outfits (and by now I

have quite a few), without worrying about how I might come across. I am convinced that this

very attitude creates a positive presence—one that resonates with the people around me.

Because, of course, social relationships are important to me.

Thank you, Deni_C, for accompanying me on this exciting journey toward what I consider a true dream goal: Level 1. I wholeheartedly recommend this coaching program to anyone encountering similar challenges.
